I’m back. Back in the Bay. Back in the city. Back. For the past decade I’ve been coming to the Bay Area on a regular basis. Two, sometimes three times a year, in 2009 I even lived her for three months, couchsurfng that is. I have friends here and an adopted American family. A family who lovingly took me in ten years ago and introduced me to an original, traditional Thanksgiving, like the ones I’ve only seen on TV.

I always joke about how I taught myself how to speak English by watching Full House, but it’s true.  I grew up with D.J., Stephanie and Michelle Tanner. I will never forget the opening credits. The Golden Gate Bridge, the trolley, Alamo Square Park. The first time I came to this city, it felt like I was on a movie set. But the past ten years, I’ve wandered the streets, took BART, met new friends, my BFF’s Stephanie and Hermione moved here and I’m renting my own place for the first time. 10 Minutes away from Alamo Square Park…
